Ronnie Wilheim
Ronnie joined CommuniCare in 1993, when it was still a regional Ohio operator, and soon after began co-leading the company. For three decades he pushed it forward, growing it into one of the largest family-owned post-acute care companies in the country.
Aegis³ Partners was founded to take that playbook beyond senior care, into healthcare more broadly and into business and essential services.

Into home health
CommuniCare adds home health care to its centers.

Ronnie Wilheim joins
Joins CommuniCare, then a regional Ohio operator.

Co-leading CommuniCare
Soon after joining, Ronnie begins co-leading the company. Every chapter of growth that follows happens under his leadership.

In-house therapy
Homeward Rehab is established to provide therapy across the centers.

A family of companies
Renamed the CommuniCare Family of Companies.

Beyond Ohio
Enters Pennsylvania and opens its first assisted living community.

Enters Missouri, then Maryland, and develops a long-term acute care hospital in Toledo.

NeighborCare independent senior living joins the family.
